Woodford House Taplow: Incorporation of Terms and Conditions.

You must read these Terms and Conditions. By making a reservation you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Making a reservation.

If we agree to a reservation we will tell you by email that we are holding a provisional booking. You must then email to us your acceptance of the booking and send us any deposit we have requested. Upon receipt of the above we will email to you confirmation that your reservation has been made and at that stage (and not before) there will be a legal contract between us. We reserve the right to decline your booking if we do not receive your email within 24 hours of the provisional booking or your deposit (if asked for) within 5 days.

Surcharges.

We will tell you when you request a reservation if there will be a surcharge for a single night stay and/or under occupancy .

Checking in and out.

Please advise us when you expect to arrive. Unless otherwise agreed, check in is from 15.00 and check out by 10.30.

Cancellation.

We will refund your deposit if we receive from you at least 28 days’ notice of cancellation. You will pay us half the total cost of your reservation if we receive less than 28 but more than 14 days’ notice of cancellation. In all other circumstances you will pay the total cost of your reservation. All payments due from you will attract compound interest at 1% per month calculated from the date on which your reservation was due to start. Any refund we pay you will be made by cheque sent to you by first class post and subject to the deduction of an administration fee of £10.

Parking.

We provide off road parking. We do not accept responsibility for any loss (including damage or injury) arising out of the use of this facility and we do not guarantee a parking space. There are also parking spaces in the public lay-by adjoining our drive.

Your comfort.

We invite you to inspect your room on arrival and tell us if anything is unsatisfactory. We also ask you to tell us if any problems arise during your stay – we will always do our best to put things right. Please do not feel embarrassed to criticise – your comfort is our concern.

Bringing in food.

We provide your breakfast. You may bring in food for consumption at other times and, at our discretion, you may use our kitchen facilities to heat food. You may eat in our kitchen or conservatory, please do not eat meals in your bedroom.

Damage.

You must pay us for any damage you cause to our property, this includes stains in bedrooms caused by spilling food or drink. Please tell us if any damage occurs – prompt action often puts things right.

Smoking.

Smoking is not allowed anywhere at Woodford House, except in the garden well away from the house. Offenders, including guests smoking out of windows, will be required to leave without any refund.

Our dog.

Woodford House is more like a family home than a guest house. We have a large friendly dog – she lives in the kitchen and you will pass her each time you enter or leave the house. Woodford House is unsuitable if you are nervous of dogs.

Pets.

Guest pets are not allowed because we do not allow animals in bedrooms and we have no other accommodation for them.

Unacceptable behaviour.

We will not tolerate behaviour that interferes with the comfort of others. Offenders will be required to leave without any refund if the behaviour persists after being asked to stop.

Force majeure.

We will make every reasonable effort to provide the accommodation you have booked. In the event of the accommodation not being available due to circumstances beyond our control, such as fire, flood or disruption of power supplies, our liability will be limited to refunding any money you have paid us for the accommodation that we are unable to provide.

Accuracy.

The information contained in this website has been compiled in good faith, but we do not accept responsibility for errors and/or subsequent changes. Before making your reservation, please check with us if you are relying on anything in particular relating to Woodford House and please check direct with the relevant third party in respect of anything else.

Disputes.

These Terms and Conditions shall be interpreted in accordance with English Law and you and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
